Terms of service

Last updated: 6 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Magpire (“the Service”) operated by Magpire Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17172989. By creating an account you agree to be bound by them.

The service

Magpire helps accountancy firms measure and improve their visibility in AI search engines. Features include scheduled Magpire Audits, content generation, citation tracking, and reactive opportunity alerts. Service capabilities evolve; we’ll notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days in advance.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe in the currency shown at checkout. Charges renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You may cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; we don’t prorate for partial months.
  • A failed payment moves the account to a past-due state. We pause new third-party-cost-bearing actions (content generation, reactive drafts) but you keep dashboard access during the dunning window. After the final notice the subscription is cancelled.
  • Prices are exclusive of VAT. UK customers are charged at the prevailing UK rate; EU customers should provide a valid VAT registration number for reverse-charge treatment.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to publish content that’s defamatory, misleading, or unlawful.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the Service or scrape it programmatically beyond documented APIs.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email or other forms of spam.
  • Resell access to the Service without our written agreement.

Content ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload and all generated content (drafts, schemas, briefs) produced for your firm by the Service. You grant us a limited licence to process that content for the purpose of running the Service.

Service levels

We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the dashboard and ingestion pipelines. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 24 hours in advance via the in-app banner and email. We aren’t responsible for outages of upstream providers (Stripe, Anthropic, Google) but degrade gracefully where possible.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We don’t exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or any liability that can’t lawfully be excluded.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach (eg. non-payment, abuse). On termination we delete your data per the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
